Route 9 and Rivian Motorway Repair Work - BOIL ORDER LIFTED

A permanent water main repair under Route 9 at Rivian Motorway is complete and the necessary flushing and purification verification steps have also been completed.

Water samples have been confirmed by a certified laboratory to be safe for human consumption. You may return to normal use of your water service.

Until samples can be confirmed safe for human consumption, a BOIL ORDER will be in effect.

Crews will be repairing a watermain at the intersection of Illinois Route 9 and Rivian Motorway. This work will require a service interruption for customers on Old Peoria Court. Customers impacted were told in person or left a door hanger. The service interruption will begin at 8:30 AM Tuesday 10/12. Restoration of service is expected before 3:30 PM on Tuesday. 

When service returns, a BOIL ORDER will be in effect for those customers effected. Those customers who will be under a boil order will be notified by door hanger and/or in person communication.
