Old Peoria Court Service Interruption - BOIL ORDER LIFTED

UPDATE: 9/2/2021 - 4:00 PM

A temporary water main repair under Route 9 at Rivian Motorway is complete and the necessary flushing and purification verification steps have also been completed.

Water samples have been confirmed by a certified laboratory to be safe for human consumption. You may return to normal use of your water service.

UPDATE: 9/1/2021 - 1:15 AM

Crews have completed work on a temporary water main. Work will resume later Wednesday September 1st to complete a permanent repair to the water main that crosses Route 9 on the west side of Rivian motorway, serving Old Peoria Court. 

Until a permanent repair can be completed and water samples are confirmed safe for consumption by a certified lab, effected residents will be under a BOIL ORDER.

UPDATE: 8/31/2021 - 8:30PM

Water service is expected to temporarily return this evening. Crews are working to install a temporary water line this evening until a permanant repair can be completed at a later time.

When service returns, a BOIL ORDER will be in effect for those customers effected. Those customers who will be under a boil order will be notified by door hanger and/or in person communication.

8/31/2021 - 3:30PM

A water main break occured around 3:30 PM at Rivian Motorway and Route 9. This break has caused a service interruption for BTPWD customers residing on Old Peoria Court.

Crews are working to restore service but there is currently no ETA on when service will return. When service returns A BOIL ORDER WILL BE IN EFFECT until samples can confirm water is safe for consumption.

All water used for cooking and drinking should be boiled at a rolling boil for 3 minutes before use.
